Maitland
One of the oldest municipalities in Central Florida, Maitland is rich in history. The U.S. Army built Fort Maitland here in 1838, and the city was incorporated as the Town of Lake Maitland in 1885. The city of 12,000 offers a number of natural and cultural attractions--the Florida Audobon Society was founded in Maitland, and the Enzian Theater is home to the annual Florida Film Festival.

Altamonte Springs
In the geographic heart of Central Florida, Altamonte Springs is home to 42,000 residents. A primarily white-collar community, Altamonte Springs is served by five elementary schools, four middle schools and two high schools. The city is located in prosperous Seminole County. The county is a popular relocation area for businesses, in part because it offers some of the best public schools in the state. The area also offers a great location, just 40 minutes from the beach and close to all the entertainment attractions of Orlando.
